Dog Training Can Strengthen The Relationship Of The Pup And Its Master

Dog training is as important as food. It is a
responsibility to train and feed your pet. This
will establish good relationship between you and
your pet. Training can be done as a regular
activity and the owner must know the basics on
how to do this. Through this, you can later on
teach them some tricks like fetching a stick or
shaking hands. Canines are not just there for
the purpose of fun but also to guard the house.
They are innately smart and they possess the
skills to be useful. You can hire a professional
dog trainer who will further enhance the
abilities of your pup and will eventually bring
out the best they have.

The following are some tips that could help an
owner deal with their pets:

1. Spend some time with your pup to strengthen
your bond. This will help them be aware that you
are their master and their keeper. Show your
concern and affection so they can establish
their loyalty to you. Talk and play with them or
you can offer them some treats.

2. Proper training materials should be used. The
equipment to be used must be appropriate for the
type of pooch and their size. Harnesses come in
different dimensions that can either be used for
small pups or the big athletic mutts. Just make
sure that whatever material you use, it must be
safe and must not be a threat to your pet's
welfare and health.

3. If your dog does not respond to your
teaching, you do not have the right to hit them.
The best thing to do is to talk to them and make
them understand that if they do well or if they
follow your commands they will be given treats.
Being violent to them will make them fear and
hate you and they will not be productive
anymore. This could ruin your relationship and
the trust they have on you.

4. As the owner, you have the responsibility to
guide your pet. When you do the toilet training,
you can do this by taking them out of the house
when you see the signs that they are about to
eliminate. This will give them the idea that
they cannot do it inside your home.

5. If the pup did something good or if they have
followed your commands, you can give them a
reward. You can give them food or you can take
them to the park for a stroll. Even a simple
pat, cuddle and praise will be enough for them.
By making the exercises fun, the pups will be
more motivated and eager to learn.

Dog training will make you and your pet
understand each other. This will help in
bringing out their abilities to make them a
better dog. This also enables the owner to enjoy
the company of their pups and will help them
foster a strong relationship.
