The Dachshunds or Sausage Dog; also known as "Dackel" (in Germany) in Decline?

The Dachshund dog breed is one of Germany's oldest Breed. The "short legged" , "long bodied" dog breed is know as "dackel" in Germany.

It is reported that the Dachund breed is now on as decline as dog owners opting for other breeds like Golden Retreiver, Labrador, etc ......

However, Dachshund fans insisted that the little "sausage dogs" will always win over their heart as theu make excellent pets. ...... yeahh ... PEANUT !! :)
