Amazing Real Hydro Dynamics Dolphin Bubble Rings
Dear Readers,
The Air Bubble Rings you see in the pictures are real!
Yes, dolphins can blow bubbles .... and bubbles will usually surface above water right ????? ..... yes ... it will surface up the water ..... however, did you know that, bubble rings created by dolphins can actually stay in water .... ????
Sounds impossible right ?? read on more and watch the video .....
In Engineering, one of the toughest subjects were Fluid, Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, Hydro Fluid Dynamics, and all fluids related subjects ...... little do we know ..... we all should learn from the Dolphins .... there are the Fluid Dynamics Experts !!
A physicist would marvel at some of the play behavior observed in young dolphins at the Project Delphis laboratory. They blow underwater bubble rings by injecting air into water vortices, about the thickness of a straw and 1 to 2 feet in diameter. The rings don't rise to the surface! The babies play with these underwater toys by moving them around with their rostrum, or biting them. They even bounce the rings off the wall, and elongate them with a flick of their dorsal fins into 15 foot corkscrews.A bubble ring is an underwater ring vortex where an air bubble occupies the core of the vortex, forming a ring shape. The ring of air as well as the nearby water spins toroidally as it travels through the water, much like a flexible bracelet might spin when it is rolled off a person's arm. Some scuba divers can create bubble rings by blowing air out of their mouth in a particular manner. Long bubble rings also can form spontaneously in turbulent water such as in heavy surf. Bubble rings and smoke rings are both forms of vortex rings, and are sometimes studied in the field of fluid dynamics. Dolphins and humpback whales have also been seen to create bubble rings. Dolphins sometimes create bubble rings on purpose, seemingly for amusement.
The young dolphin gives a quick flip of her head, and an undulating silver ring appears--as if by magic--in front of her. The ring is a solid, toroidal bubble two feet across--and yet it does not rise to the surface! It stands erect in the water like the rim of a magic mirror, or the doorway to an unseen dimension. For long seconds the dolphin regards its creation, from varying aspects and angles, with its vision and sonar. Seemingly making a judgement, the dolphin then quickly pulls a small silver donut from the larger structure, which collapses into small bubbles. She then "pushes" the donut, which stays just inches ahead of her rostrum, perhaps 20 feet over a period of up to 10 seconds. Then, stopping again, she regards the twisting ring for a last time and bites it--causing it to collapse into a thousand tiny bubbles which head--as they should--for the water's surface. After a few moments of reflection, she creates another.
This isn't fantasy, it's real. And it isn't magic, just marvelous. It is a rare dolphin behavior, and we first saw it in the play of two baby dolphins. It gives us a little more insight into the superb level of control dolphins can exercise on their water environment, and underscores the fact that we can still discover things about dolphins by simply watching them.As it turned out, small silver rings weren't the only toys the dolphins were making for themselves: some of the creations were as large as a basketball rim. And Tinkerbell proved able to create a silver helix, spiraling perhaps 20 feet long, that would spring into life in a fraction of a second and remain stable in the water as she swam past, observing it with sonar and vision. then--presto! she would grab a small silver ring from the helix to play with, while the rest of the helix degraded into bubbles which would belatedly "remember" to rise to the surface.
Enjoy the Dolphin Bubble Video....
Dear Readers, we hope you have enjoyed this post as much as we do .... and remember to Give Thanks to the Wonders of the Creator!

Malaysia Mega Sex Party, Under-wear off, Party without undies planned, Malaysia Mega New Year's Eve 2008 Sex Party
Malaysia Mega Sex Party, Under-wear off, Party without undies planned, Malaysia Mega New Year's Eve 2008 Sex Party
Dear Readers .... Yes you heard it right .... a Mega Sex Party in Malaysia on New Years Eve 2008 ..... wow .... this is worth blogging about ...
Read more here
KUALA TERENGGANU: Under-wear off – that is one of the conditions for guys who want to attend a mega sex party on New Year’s Eve that is scheduled to be held in Johor Baru.
The second condition is that girls must wear only G-string panties and be prepared to take them off after midnight to usher in the new year.
It is learnt that invitations enclosed in New Year greeting cards are being distributed here. Upon opening the greeting card, there is a note with this statement: “Are you below 40? If you are, then browse this web address and you won’t regret it.”
On the website are three handphone numbers for those who want to attend the sex party to contact. The Star managed to get in touch with one of the contact persons and the woman who answered the call identified herself as Ida.
She claimed to be the organiser of the sex party and she expected 350 revellers to attend the event.
Ida then demanded a deposit of RM250 as entrance fee for each participant and the amount had to be banked into her account number.
“Are you a male? Don’t worry, we have 200-over women there for you, including those from Batam (Indonesia) but you must be prepared to go naked, you know,” she said. Ida said there were also several female students from colleges in Kuala Lumpur and Malacca who had confirmed their attendance.
“We need more males for the party. We are short of men. Don’t worry about partners, there will be plenty of them on that night,” she said. When asked about the venue of the party, Ida replied, “You bank in RM100 first, we will send all the details. The balance must be deposited before we confirm your name.
“We will prepare the liquor and accommodation but you have to pay separately for these, but they will cost only a nominal sum,” she said.
Ida also divulged that the party would be held at a secluded area fronting the beach and gave an assurance that there would be scouts stationed at all entry points to the venue to alert the revellers in case there is a raid.
“The party will go on all night long, and you are free to do whatever you wish to do,” she said. Ida also recommended that guys should bring along condoms.

Pet Strollers
Pet Stollers .... what is a Pet Stroller ? ...... and do Pets really need a Stoller?? .....
Strollers have gone to the dogs. Is this really necessary? Shouldn't dogs be walking next to us on a leash? Yes and no. While there will always be people who wouldn't be caught dead pushing their dog in a stroller, there are some compelling reasons and particular situations in which a stroller is a great idea.
There are:
Injuries. Pets get injuries that make a stroller a perfect way of taking your pet out or to the vet without compromising their recovery.
Big events. Taking small dogs to big events: parades, festivals, etc. can be overwhelming. Strollers give dogs and people their own personal space. Keeping pets and people safe and happy.
Exercise. If you are a runner and you have a small dog a jogging stroller can allow you to include your pet on longer runs. Or if you own one big dog and one small dog, a pet stroller allows you to include both of your pets on your walk or run.
Shopping. There are various reasons for including a pet stroller on a shopping excursion. With a stroller there are usually places to put extras like wallets, purses or even small purchases on the stroller. Also your pet is contained and more likely to be tolerated in a store or at a farmers market if the merchants know the pet is contained and not going to make a mess on their floor.
Control. If your pet is in a stroller they will not be approaching people who may not like pets and conversely people will not be as likely to pet or handle your dog without your permission.
Fun. If you are a dog lover taking your pet out in a pet stroller is just plain fun! So to the naysayers who find the pet stroller ridiculous-get a real problem! >

Aid For Pets left in Volcanic Eruption
SANTIAGO - Help is on the way for hundreds of household pets left behind in the wake of a volcano eruption in southern Chile, an animal welfare group said.
The Coalition for Ethical Control of Urban Fauna, which has been critical of the Government's attention to stranded animals, said the Emergency Bureau offered to carry food to pets in Chaiten, a town 10km from the volcano of the same name.
An estimated 450 dogs and 350 cats were left when the town's residents were evacuated after the initial May 2 eruption, the volcano's first in thousands of years.
At a demonstration in Santiago, Alejandra Cassino, the group's representative said: "They asked us to bring food for the pets, and police and soldiers would feed the animals."
The group is lobbying for access and time to save the animals.

Five New Canadian Animal Heroes
.....Dear Readers.... this is another extract articles for the Five Dogs that were recently included into the Animals Hall of Fame
TORONTO, May 5 (UPI) -- Five Canadian dogs were inducted into Purina's Canadian Animal Hall of Fame in Toronto Monday for their courage, loyalty and life-saving heroics.
Among them was a poodle from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who defied orders to stop barking in February 2007 and led her owners to discover an abandoned newborn baby wrapped up on their back porch in sub-freezing weather, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
A German shepherd from St. Catharines, Ontario, was honored for pulling its owner from icy waters by the leash wound around the man's wrist.
A weaten terrier from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was also credited with waking its partially deaf owner to the carbon monoxide alarm
Among the other heroes named was a Toronto-area miniature schnauzer who alerted its owner to an elderly neighbor who had fallen into his swimming pool, the report said.

DVDs, CDs To Entertain Lonely Pets Left Alone at Home
They say it's wrong to let the TV baby-sit your kid. But what about your pet?
With most of us spending 40-plus hours at work, that leaves less time to pal around with our four-legged friends. We try all sorts of ways to distract pets in our absence: catnip, a hollow chew toy filled with peanut butter. Perhaps you've even left the TV or radio on to keep your pet company. If you're looking for CDs or DVDs customized specifically for the four-legged demographic, then check out these options for pet entertainment.
• "Songs to Make Dogs Happy": The makers of this CD "surveyed" 200 dogs to learn what would be music to your pet's ears. The result is a Kidz Bop-esque albumsung by cast of adult humans. Tracks include the calypso-inspired "Scratch My Back," the smooth jazz number "Cookies," and our fave, "Sweaky Deaky," sung in English and Spanish.

Bone Marrow Transplants to Sick Pets Offered By WSU
The bone marrow or stem cell transplant, a procedure that every year saves tens of thousands of lives and won for the Seattle physician who pioneered it the 1990 Nobel Prize in Medicine, appears poised to come full circle and finally become more widely available to those who first made it all possible.
Dogs.
"They helped us figure out how to help save ourselves, and so this represents a big giveback to the canine species," said Dr. Jeffrey Bryan, a veterinary oncologist at Washington State University.
Bryan is spearheading a project to soon launch what would be the world's first large-scale clinical transplant program for dogs. The program is expected to become available to treat dogs with lymphoma sometime this summer.
Bone marrow transplants had been done experimentally in dogs over the decades, Bryan said, and clinically for a few dogs by some pioneering private-practice veterinarians.

Oxygen Masks to rescue Pets Will be Available to Fire Departments Soon
STAMFORD - Four volunteer fire departments will get oxygen masks designed for animals.
Tony Olive, a captain at Turn of River Fire Department and a fire marshal with Long Ridge Fire Company, has received six kits containing the conical masks designed for snouts instead of faces. Olive plans to distribute masks to Springdale Fire Company and Belltown Fire Department as well.
Long Ridge and Turn of River each will receive two kits because each has two firehouses. The other two departments will get one kit each.
Without masks, firefighters must improvise, usually with masks for humans, to help an animal suffering from smoke inhalation. The Invisible Fence pet mask donation program gave 11 kits, each containing three sizes, to Stamford Fire & Rescue in March.
The city's fifth volunteer company, Glenbrook Fire Department, already received masks from Stamford Fire & Rescue.

'Hey Mom, please can I keep him?'
The world of choosing a pet can be overwhelming and full of daunting decisions. Land or water? Caged or free? Hairy or scaly? One of the largest factors in pet selection is the age of the pet owner. Although it is ultimately up to personal preference, some pets may be more suitable for a certain age group than others.
Young children are often initially overwhelmingly excited about owning their first pet. It's like a whirlwind romance — complete with a giddy courtship that levels off into a general liking or, unfortunately, a slow disdain. But children this age don't understand the long-term commitment involved in owning a pet.

Description:
Form filling software enters your information into entry forms with a single click of your mouse.
Saves the passwords you use to enter different sweepstakes, so that you can easily remember them later.
Remembers filled-out entry forms, so that you can enter them again with all of your preferences pre-filled.
Allows you to store information for each family member (limited number of identities included with free download).
Guide Review - Roboform - Automatic Form-Filling Software
One of the hardest parts of entering online sweepstakes is typing your personal information into entry forms over and over (and over!) again. Roboform is an elegant solution to this problem.
Simply type your personal information into this program, and you will be able to automatically fill forms with a single click of your mouse. You'll save an enormous amount of time and energy, and be able to enter more sweepstakes than ever before.
You can even save individual entry forms, so that if you return to enter again, all of your opt-in fields and other information can be entered with a click.
This vastly simplifies daily entries. If you have more than one sweeper in your home, you can store separate information in identities, meaning that each person can enter quickly and easily.
RoboForm Pro 6.0 retains the intelligent field-matching ability of previous versions and adds a cleaner, simpler user interface. It masterfully handles filling in Web forms and logging on to secure sites. You'll be amazed at how much you don't have to type when RoboForm is on the job.
ReviewRoboForm Pro 6.0 (formerly AI RoboForm), from Siber Systems, makes filling in Web forms and entering passwords both effortless and safe. Clicking on a Passcard navigates to a secure site and logs on automatically. The program stores various types of personal information in Identities and... click here for full review
- RoboForm Pro allows multiple people to store sensitive information on the same computer or for a little extra, you can order RoboForm2Go and take your passwords with you on a flash disk.
- The practical features on RoboForm Pro are extensive, and the Safenote function is one of the most useful and impressive. The Safenote feature works like a notebook. As a whole RoboForm Pro works as a password manager and notebook. It not only saves email passwords, but also valuable information like bank PINs, appointments or meetings.
When you save a password into the system RoboForm Pro automatically files it into your “Passcards” list. From there it is just point and click. Additionally, all password information can be printed, so you can store a hard copy. - RoboForm Pro automatically appears on your Internet toolbar and creates an icon in the bottom tray. Clearly labeled features make this software easy to navigate.
Every time you create a new password and user login on a website, RoboForm Pro will prompt to save and store the new information. No matter how many different passwords and usernames you create, they are safely stored and you’ll never forget another password again.

Pet Allowance for Japanese Firm "Kyoritsu Seiyaku" Employee
- Yup .... hear it right ..... "Pet Allowance"
- Pet ownership is increasingly popular in Japan.
- A Japanese company " Kyoritsu Seiyaku" is offering its employees a monthly "pet allowance" to help with the upkeep of their cats and dogs.
- Kyoritsu Seiyaku, which makes animal medicines, said pets were a lifelong obligation for their owners.
- Kyoritsu Seiyaku is offering its pet-owning employees about $9 (£4.70) per month, and hopes the system will spread to other Japanese firms.
The company does not, however, offer paid leave when employees' pets die.
"For now, we have introduced only the allowances, but we want to consider the condolence holiday system in future," a spokeswoman for Kyoritsu Seiyaku told Reuters news agency.
Employees may be keen to take advantage of this in the future.
The Japan Pet Food Manufacturers' Association estimates that the country's cat and dog population of nearly 18 million animals is ageing rapidly, after a boom in ownership in the early 1990s.
Analysts say that many Japanese families are deciding to put off having children, and buy pets instead.
Many older people are living alone and keep pets as companions.
"Everyone has the right to own a pet, but they also have the obligation to raise the pet for its whole life," Kyoritsu Seiyaku said in a statement quoted by Reuters.

Police dogs in Duesseldorf, Germany Wears Protective Shoes
(CNN) -- They're big, strong, and fierce K9 -- and they wear little K2 blue booties..... ????
The reason for dogs wearing shoes???? !!!!!
"We wondered how can we protect our dogs' feet against glass," said Hartwich. "We looked on the Internet and found these shoes."
Beer drinkers along the Rhine River and in the city's Altstadt, or Old Town, often discard beer bottles on pebbled walkways. Broken glass poses a problem for the police force's 20 German Shepherds and Belgian Shepherds, Hartwich said.
In addition, hooligans and vandals leave behind glass shards around New Year's Eve and during the city's famous Carnival celebrations.

Billy And The "Kid"

- Fom the Good old Western Wild Wild West, The Great Western Tale of Billy the Kid, ..... now from the Animal Pets Kingdom, we present to you a different twist .... a tale of Friendship & Love ...... Billy and The Kid "Lilly"......
- Read more here ......
- A paternal dog has adopted an abandoned baby goat as his surrogate child.
Billy the boxer has become the constant companion of the 12-day old kid called Lilly. He sleeps with the goat, licks her clean, and protects her from any dangers at Pennywell Farm wildlife centre at Buckfastleigh, near Totnes, Devon.
The kid was abandoned by her mother when she was only a few hours old and adopted by paternal Billy when his owner Elizabeth Tozer began hand rearing the goat.
The unusual bond has developed over the last month and the pair are now inseparable.
Elizabeth said: "Lilly follows Billy around which is really quite amusing to watch and Billy sleeps with the goat and cleans her mouth after she feeds."
Lilly was the smallest of a litter of three kids and her mother abandoned her because she could only care for the two stronger ones. The pair have attracted quite a crowd at the animal centre and the staff are keen to see how their relationship will develop.
