I can answer the question easily by asking
another question most people will answer almost
instinctively even if they have no actual
experience at this moment. How does having a
child change your life? I think most people would
automatically agree and say. In every conceivable
manner a kid will change your life. Most would
say that with almost no thought I think.

Instinctively most of us humans understand the
awesome responsibility that children bring to our
lives. Owning a Blue And Gold Macaw is in fact
quite the same experience. When comparing the two
from birth through the toddler years there really
is not much difference.

Why would owning a Blue And Gold Macaw compare so
closely to having and raising a child? Because
with some notable differences (kids being human
and Macaws being animals) many of the
responsibilities are the same. The
responsibilities are so closely related primarily
due to the fact that the Blue And Gold Macaw
possesses an intelligence and an understanding
comparable to children ages somewhere between two
to four years of age. Experts claim normally Blue
And Gold Macaws are as trainable and intelligent
as chimps and dolphins. They are far more
intelligent than the normally kept animal pets
such as dogs, cats, and non domesticated kept
animals.

What is very important here is that kids grow up.
Blue And Gold Macaws do not grow up. They only
grow older. Intelligence wise they remain
toddlers for life. As a companion animal in
captivity they just cannot and never will be able
to take care of themselves. They will always rely
on you.

Your kid, as time goes by learns hopefully to
take some of the burden of care off of you. Your

to either. Even with limiting what you can and
cannot do with your life he will be quite content
taking up most of your free time.

He loves the fact that finding an adequate baby
sitter is not easy to do. He believes that where
you go and what you do he should also go and do

himself upon you. Actually he more or less will
demand he be fully involved in your life. He will
not mind reminding you vociferously when excluded
to much from your life.

He will instinctively adopt every bad behavior in
his arsenal should you exclude him to much, to
long, to often. A wise owner keeps his Blue And
Gold companion very happy. Believe me. There is a
price paid for not doing so.

There comes at some point a time when your
children naturally prefer being with their
friends and away from mom and dad. Not so the
companion bird, he knows why you have a shoulder,
he will force you to use it too. A Blue And Gold
Macaw is relentless in his need to be with you.

The best part of life with a Blue And Gold Macaw
is. Unlike your kid he will never grow up and
leave you. He will always be there for you,
whether you like it or not. Will you always be
there for him?

Unfortunately to many people acquire one of these
companions unprepared or unable to give him his
due. He just needs to be your Blue And Gold
toddler for life. So the question is actually.
