As of today, the dog barking control mechanism
from Bark Off has stirred up quite a racket.
Quite apparently, it is one of the most popular
products from the As Seen On TV Store for the
year 2010, but does it really do its job? First
of all, I will go over the details on what it
actually is meant to do.

The annoying issue people have with their dogs
barking has been solved by Bark Off. All of us
have faced this issue at one time or another and
it can be very aggravating. Like the situation
where you are trying to sleep but your neighbors
dog will not stop barking, or you just want to
watch some television but can't hear because of
your barking dog.

Though at times a dogs bark can be a really great
thing. It can deter criminals from trying to get
in your home, but what if you are just tired of
the bark? Or if you just can't take the sound
anymore? Controlling a dogs bark is sometimes in
order, but what type of control?

To train your dog not to bark is a difficult
task, and shock collars appear cruel and
inhumane. You might succeed in preventing the dog
from barking, but you will confuse the dog and
he/she will not know when to actually bark in
case of trouble. Stifling the dogs bark, their
natural way of communicating with us, could be a
terrible thing.

Bark Off is intriguing because how the device
operates. The unit will give off a harmless
ultrasonic sound wave that people cannot hear but
the dogs can and it will get their attention
quickly.

When your dog decides to start barking, the
device will activate and give off the ultrasonic
sound wave. The dogs pattern of barking will
simply interrupt and no harm will come to the
animal. If you can take the dog's attention off
of whatever is making them bark, then they will
stop barking, in theory. The sound wave will just
make the dog focus on the sound and ignore what
they were barking at initially.

Practicing this may prove to be hard, but the
theory is a great one. This would definitely
solve my dogs barking problem, so if Bark Off
really works I would love to know more about this
product.

My neighbors dog happens to be my particular
issue. The dog is wonderful but it has the
tendency to bark throughout the night, and though
they try to stop him it has become and issue for
everybody. The dog loves to sit ten feet from my
window and just bark. The Bark Off should work
from a little distance away so it can basically
be placed by my bedside and turned on at night.
The dog should quiet down or at least move
somewhere else to do his barking, and my issue
will be taken care of.

In my opinion, the jury is still out on the
matter, but I hope this invention will put an end
to our annoying little yapping friends. It is
hard to imagine that this small device could
solve all of our problems, yet at times the
answers to our problems are actually the simplest.
