Pug Coaching - The Reason Why You Have To Begin Coaching Your Pug Right From Day 1

By Davis Stout

You go to the pet store and you fall madly in love with that large wrinkly face and the very next thing you know, you are the proud owner of a new Pug puppy. Something that you need to know, particularly in those early days, is that the moment you bring that puppy home, you are training them in the right way to act in the future. With pug training, it is critical to be trained from the start of your days as a Pug owner.

When you look at how much a child learns in the first few years of their life, it far outweighs the amount of things they learn in the latter years. A pug puppydog is the same way, the first few months of their life are just like the first few years of a child's life and anything they learn now is going to be inserted in their mind as something they are permitted to do.

If your Pug puppy jumps up on the coach, will you discipline him and let him know to get down or are you going to pet his lovable tiny head and tell him how lovable he is. Now consider what occurs when he is a full grown dog and he does that, you are potentially going to be upset and scream at him. Well don't yell at the dog, go find a mirror and yell at yourself because you're the one that promoted that behavior when he was a puppy dog.

We frequently find humor in the things that both children and dogs do when they are puppies and babies and then we get upset when they are doing the same things one or two years later. It is not their fault, you allowed this behavior and now you are going to have to sort it. Knowing when to correct behavior is an important part of pug training

When your Pug puppy grabs your shoes and starts chewing on them, ask yourself one small query, am I going to find that funny in 7 years when he is still doing it? If you are like most people, the solution to that query is going to be a sound NO so address it now and you will not have to worry about it in the future because the dog will know it is not permissible.

It is a small tricky to train your Pug puppy from day one, but you have got to resist the booby trap of falling for that charming face. They are animals and they have to be trained. The will only do what you allow them to do or get away with so be sure you get the proper behavior instilled from the first day and you'll have a great pet!
