Article From SubmitYOURArticle.com: Cat Problems Can Be A Cat-tastrophy!

Oh how we love our cats! However, the cat
problems they bring can be very upsetting.
Following is a quick list of cat health problems
you may encounter if you live with a cat long
enough.

*Cat litter box problems:
The biggest and most troublesome for most cat
custodians is cat urinating problems. If your
feline is urinating or defecating outside the
litter box you must start with a visit to the
vet! It's probably medical so take care of it
right away. Isolate your cat until you can get
him to the vet. You do not want litter box issues
to become a bad habit! Remember your cat does not
view his elimination in the same light as you. He
sees nothing disgusting about it.

*Cat skin problems:
Of course there are many things that can affect a
cats skin, the most common being flea or mosquito
sensitivity, food allergies and even sensitivity
to household cleaners or cigarette smoke. If your
cat is having skin reactions put on your
detective hat and investigate. Being prepared to
work with your vet will save your cat suffering
and you time and money.

*Cat eye problems:
A special characteristic of the cat's eye is
their extra eyelid, which is called the
nictitating membrane. If this extra eyelid is
visible then your cat has an eye problem. Watch
for signs of watering, pawing at the eye, a
discharge or obvious pain when the area around
the eye is touched. This calls for a visit to the
vet.

*Cat urinating or urinary problems:
Urinary tract infections are common in cats and
cause a lot of suffering. There is much debate
about what type of diet will keep this from
happening and many different specially formulated
cat foods addressing this problem. Work with your
vet here, and take their advice, because they
deal with it every day and will have the most
updated information. Prevention is the best
route, because a urinary tract infection is
extremely painful and can even be life
threatening for a cat. Often it is the cause of
litter box problems.

Cat health problems, when handled quickly, will
relieve your pet of suffering and you of worry,
so just pay attention to any sign of cat behavior
problems that suddenly show up. The behavior may
be a reaction to an underlying medical issue.
Prompt attention will have your bundle of fur
quickly back to normal and happily back in your
lap!
