If you are wanting to attract birds into your
yard or garden with bird food, but because of the
large variety of foods that are available it is
confusing you. First you should start with buying

any pet shop or even a garden store.

It is quite known that Birds of different types
will choose to eat their food at different levels
of height. Some will certainly like to eat from
the ground below as many do while there are so
many others that will choose to eat their food
from a higher areas. Knowing this just place a
few bird feeders around the yard or the garden
with each of them at various heights. This will
certainly cater to all of them.

Before ever purchasing a feeder, check or examine
it to see if it is resistant to certain weather
conditions, such as snow and rain and if so then
it is safe to buy as the feeder will help to keep
the food more fresher.

When it comes to bird food there are many you can
choose from. But seeds seem to be popular for
birds as they are quite easy for the birds to
eat. Black sunflower works well with birds as
they seem to love that kind the most. Keep the
seeds in a cool and dry place when storing them
so to preserve their freshness.

One seed that many kinds of birds seem to like a
lot is suet, which is mixed with several berries
and meat fat. Several types birds such as the
woodpeckers, chickadees, blue jays and also the
nuthatches just love these type of seeds.

Birds are also very fond of nectar, which you can
create yourself just by using some water along
with sugar. First Boil four parts of water and
then add one part of sugar to it and mix it all
together. Let it sit for a while or until it has
cooled off. It will then be ready o be given to
he birds for food.

The bright color of red seems to attract the
humming birds, as it was always believed to be
true. However, you can just use a red ribbon and
tie it somewhere near to the bird feeder or as
some people would do, grow some red colored
flowers. These are some good ideas to get the
attention of birds to come into your backyard or
garden where you can then begin to enjoy their
company as they will begin to enjoy the food.
