Cage size should be around 20-25 sq inches, and
should be furnished with sleeping materials in a
small bedroom, fresh clean drinking water should
be available at all times, as should an exercise
wheel, to keep your pet fit and healthy. A word
of warning hamsters are known to be great escape
artists, on a par with the great ''Harry
Houdini''. However, they should be taken out of
their cage and handled, and allowed to roam at
will all the while having a beady eye kept on
them to prevent them from getting up to the afore
mentioned - Harry Houdini tricks .

If you decide to breed your hamsters , males are
ready to breed at 10-14 weeks - females at 6-10
weeks-gestation period 15/16 days- litter size
5-10- weaning age -21-25 days. Do remember to
house your hamsters singly, as they do tend to be
aggressive towards each other. Happy hamster
