Glucosamine Liquid for Dog Osteoarthritis

One of the most popular supplement products that
veterinarians suggest for older canines is
glucosamine. This product aides animals who are
suffering from joint osteoarthritis in their
later years of life. Almost all breeds of dogs
will suffer from this joint disease at some
point in their lives. Usually, later in life is
when the first symptoms of the disease are
witnessed. Pet owners may first see their
animals struggling to climb stairs and steps or
have trouble jumping off or on to beds in
furniture. When this is witnessed by the owner,
they should take their animal to the
veterinarian for a complete diagnosis.

If the vet besides that it is the onset of
osteoarthritis that is causing the problems, he
or she may suggest using a supplement product
called liquid glucosamine. For several decades
now pet owners have been using glucosamine to
treat their canines arthritis symptoms without
the worry of serious side effects. There are
prescription medications available to treat dog
arthritis, that many of them also include the
possibility of severe and sometimes even deadly
side effects. Although it is not extremely
common, there are numerous reports of dogs who
have died from the side effects caused by these
prescribed medicines for canine osteoarthritis.

A better solution is one for using a natural and
completely safe supplement product such as liquid
glucosamine. There are in fact virtually no side
effects associated with this supplement. In
fact, the active ingredient, glucosamine, is
used by the body naturally and is the building
blocks for the cartilage tissue with in the
joints. Arthritis begins attacking this tissue
and thus causes pain within the joints when the
bone tips are allowed to rub together. The
liquid glucosamine aids the body in rebuilding
and regenerating this damaged tissue to some
extent. Although there is no cure or any way to
stop the progression of osteoarthritis in
canines, liquid glucosamine does in fact offer
some relief to the animals from the pain caused
by the joint disease.

Liquid glucosamine does not act immediately to
stop the pain and symptoms of joint
osteoarthritis. It can take several weeks to
several months of daily supplementation before
the benefits are seen and experienced by the
animal. Prescribed medicines offer almost
immediate pain relief but then they also offer
the chance for severe and deadly side effects.

Pet owners who have had their animals diagnosed
with canine osteoarthritis should consider
supplementation with liquid glucosamine before
attempting to use dangerous and expensive
prescribed medications for their animals.
