California Horseback Riding Adventures

By Heather Toms

Some of the most rough and yet most hauntingly lovely geography in the world can be discovered in California. If you live there, you could have some notion of the attractions of California. If you don't but you are thinking of taking a holiday there, you can't do much better than opt for a trip on horseback across California. The state has a positively stunning diversity in terrain, from the bright and sandy beaches to the powerful rivers, the thick forests of redwoods and sequoias and the splendid Sierra Mountains. California has so much space for horse riding that plenty of people refer it to as ideal horse country.

You can choose any of a bunch of riding trips. Each single one practically involves the services of a few of the sharpest riding instructors in America. They will make sure that you hone your riding talents to near professional levels. Your selections include the Redwood Forest/Coast Ride, a route that goes along the beaches for a fast canter and then some lazy exploring in the wonderful Redwood Forest. You can go for standard travel packages or it is possible to get them custom designed to suit your needs. You can go alone, with your better half or girlfriend or with a whole brood of kids. The magnificent size of the Redwoods can be mesmerizing; they appear to almost soar up to the clouds. You may have seen sunsets galore, but believe me, witnessing the sun set across the ocean while you are on horseback on the Californian coast is something that is in a kingdom of its own.

If you have some urban urging, you can wrap up the trip with a visit to close by Californian towns like San Francisco. These cities are cultural melting pots that offer you a buffet of cultures, food and traditions. California is naturally a pony rider's refuge. Even if you have absolutely zero horse riding experience, you can become a near expert rider if you should decide to spend some initial learning time at the training clinics that are abundant all around the place. These clinics familiarize you with the best riding habits and techniques. They even teach you all about horse care and handling and about pony gear and the correct use of the various items of gear.

Even a single day of horseback adventure in California can be a rememberable experience. Most horses are active or retired event competitors, which means they are pretty much in peak condition. The trainers here are very experienced in several forms of pleasure and event riding. You can choose any mix of seashore riding, trail riding and Redwood forest riding. You can go in for packages that include live entertainment, food, horses and guides. Your first horseback journey in California will certainly be the first of more; you will not be satisfied with just the single experience.

You won't be forgetting the beautiful landscapes, amazing view of the ocean and the eye-popping tall forests in a hurry, not to mention the great food, superb wines and glamorous entertainment.
