Animal Urine And Pet Clean Up Products

By Philip Smith

Pet clean up products are fast becoming the attraction of many domestic animal lovers to purchase from their local veterinarian or pet supply shop. Animals, like human beings, do urinate and for them this does not particular matter where they perform this action. In fact they are very particular where they do their business although they do not understand the concept of not doing their business in your home.

Domestic animals like their wild ancestors will mark their territory. It is a way in which animals display their ownership and position of seniority within a family household. In all sense, an owner of the animal can be likened to an alpha male just as an animal in the wild displays obedience to the leader of a wolf pack for example.

Humans do this too but just in a different way. As humans we buy property and together with our purchase we are handed a deed of sale. This document denotes our ownership over a particular piece of land in a suburb.

All said and done though, animal urine is sticky and smelly at best. Many products have been tried and tested to rid furniture and tiles of their clinging odor. Home remedies are in abundance such as throwing salt over the urinated area, pouring liquids such as vinegar or even ammonia cleaning detergents.

These chemicals are researched by biologists in developing means to deter your household pets from urinating in your household again and again. Chemical compounds are researched and altered or diminished in their ability to attract animals back to the same spot on your kitchen floor. Pheromones which are chemicals that are released when urinating signal the sexual status of the animal.

For microbiologists and manufacturers alike the information hidden in these chemicals provide clues as to how to develop a pet clean up product of note. Continuous research is carried out in this regard. Not only to deter a domestic animal from urinating in your home but to eliminate those smells that humans find so nauseating.

These cannot be smelled by the human nose. They are chemicals that are released when urinating to inform other same typed species as to whether an animal is at time of heightened sexual activity. Studies are carried out with regard to these chemicals too as they are known to lure animals back to the same spots where others last urinated.

Choosing the most desirable pet clean up products from the shelf of your local pet supply store is not a simple task as the variety of products to choose from can be overwhelming especially should you not be a microbiologist in this field of study. It is advisable to ask questions. Further studying and research of these products is enlightening and will stand you in good stead in finding a product of choice.
