Some Things About Mi-Ki Dogs

By Serena Price

Mi-Ki dogs are really beautiful and clever little things. They are a very interesting mixture of several popular breeds, including Maltese, Japanese Chin, Papillon and maybe Shih Tzu, depending on canine association. There are no exact info about their origin. Some say they were created in America, and some say their origin is in Asia. Anyway, they are here now, and they are simply adorable.

The interesting thing is that they come in two variations that looks quite differently. Longer haired variations looks like a Maltese, while its shorter hair relative has entirely different appearance. For example, longer haired type has long beard and mustache, feathered ears and tail, while other type has fringed ears and no mustache.

Properly groomed, both types are generally quite healthy. There is a possibility of respiratory problems with older smooth haired types. If you keep them as companion dogs or house pets, clip the hair on their feet, to ease the maintenance. Regular combing and feet cleaning should be enough, avoid unnecessary baths.

Shorter hair type doesn't require any clipping or trimming, even if you take it on exhibition. Long haired types can be left as they are, but their hair can also be trimmed on particular way. These two types are shown separately.

This lovely dog weights up to ten pounds, and can live in a small apartment. It is very friendly and nice, enjoys people's company and it is really obedient, if trained properly. Every dog needs care and attention, and this one is no exception. Just let it know what you expect, and everything will run smoothly.

Although Mi Ki primarily companion dogs and house pets, though they need sufficient exercise. It is best to take a walk at least once a day. In case you have a small yard, it will certainly be enough for your dog. Mi Ki enjoys the game and any other activities, but will quickly adapt to the lifestyle of its owner.

You won't have to spend too much time on their maintenance either. Regular combing and teeth cleaning is mostly enough. They don't shed, or shed very little. They can really be clever and obedient, funny and friendly, and it is wonderful to have them around in your home. They bring some special atmosphere in your home, and you will just love their presence.

You have to understand that dogs are used to live in a pack. It means they require a pack leader, and you need to become one. Your dog doesn't know what is allowed, and what is expected from him, if you don't tell him. If you train your pet properly, you won't have any problems in years to come. Your dog will be perfectly obedient.

These lovely Mi-Ki dogs are really something else. Beautiful and friendly, they have really good nature and they are always ready to play. These lovely creatures make very good companions, and are just perfect family pets. Your children will love them. They don't require much, just some love and care.
