Guidelines For Picking Out High Quality White German Shepherd Puppies

By Christa Jarvis

As the saying goes, dogs are best friend of men. This is a fact because they are affectionate, loyal, loving and intelligent. Many households keep pets because of the god traits of high quality white German shepherd puppies. This is because these pups have the ability to relieve stress and the feeling of loneliness because they offer companionship. They also offer a sense of security in the homes especially during the night.

When in search of a high breed, you need to find a reputable breeder. First start off on the internet and check out the German shepherd dog parent breed club and take your research further on the local available breeding clubs in your area. You should look for a breeder that is far more interested with his/her breed and he/she wants to find a proper home for her puppies than obtaining money from them. Be aware of sellers that are in it for the cash because most of them have a wrong motivation.

This canine is usually strong, athletic and natural looking. It is also very intelligent, versatile and loyal and when it is well trained and socialized, it can do anything. It is a very good watchdog and it is not very hostile when compared to the traditional breed. This furred friend is usually bred to have more sensitive, mellow and softer personality than the traditional colored German shepherds do.

Consider the temperament. German shepherds have unstable temperaments, so you should be knowledgeable on how to care for these family companions. This breed possess neurotic behaviors that include aggression, fear or sharpness. You should seek the help of behavioral consultants and obedience instructors to know more about the temperaments of this canine.

Temperament is another guideline to follow when you are making a choice. They should possess distinct personality with self-confidence and are eager, alert and ready to do anything. They also show protective and herding instincts. They are very friendly to the people they know but to strangers they seem defensive and aggressive.

The puppy that you choose should be properly trained to be very social. The training that it should undergo should be playful and very friendly. This is because the physical features of the puppy are important and its temperaments are equally very crucial. It is important to note that during the training they usually tend to pick up the personality of their trainer depending on how he/she interacts with them.

You should put into account fur shedding. German shepherds tend to shed their fur heavily and constantly for one year. Therefore, you should be prepared to find hair all over your clothing, carpets and all over the house. This is because these furred friends shed a lot of fur. Vacuum cleaning will become your way of life daily.

You should also choose a furred animal that is ready to be taken home with you. It should be physically and emotionally ready or else its growth will be negatively affected. These pups are usually ready to be separated from their mothers after 8 to 12 weeks and that is the period that they should start training. This way, you will not have any problem with the dog.
