Discover Designer Dog Crates For Your Pet

By Amanda Gray

People love their dogs like they love their children, unconditionally. Which is why dog lovers all over will be pleased to learn about designer dog crates. No longer does your pet have to be relegated to a metal cage. Thanks to the creativity and ingenuity of dog loving designers, the doggie crate has evolved into a mini designer condo.

Some designs are modern and look just like a tastefully chosen end table. Non suspecting guests will be surprised to hear your end table give a bark or two to say hello. Or maybe the guests will hear some soft snoring as your pet rests peacefully.

Traditional designs are also available in quality woods like oak and mahogany. The natural wood can be stained any color you like. If you have a lot of beige and warm tones, there is a nice espresso finish. For rooms with cooler tones you can order a black or a grey stained crate. It will blend right into the rest of the furniture.

If you have a lot of white in your living room, you can purchase a design in keeping with that type of decor, with a white finish and stylish plaid on the inside. Whether you have a designer dog or a rescued pooch, your pet will be happy to have its own little condo in the middle of all the family action.

There are crates designed to fit any room in your house. You can get several, so your pet is always able to be included in family activities. One for your bedroom, another for the living room and maybe a third for the entry, where your dog can greet you and any incoming guests. Where ever you are, your beloved pet will have a safe, warm place to rest.

Some soft canvas designs over a hard plastic or metal frame are also made to look attractive. No one will mistake them for a piece of furniture. Neither will they be an unattractive metal cage that detracts from the beauty of the room. You can have both form and function in any room in the house.

For owners with large breeds, there is a crate for your pet too. The larger designs are more expensive, but your pet is worth it. The crates are roomy enough to allow your big dog easy access in and out of his or her condo quarters. Big dog owners know the their 120 pound dog is a 6 pound dog at heart who just wants to be near his owner. The big ones need as much attention as the miniatures.

Owners with two pets will be especially pleased with the side by side option. This design works best against a large wall and built right into a wall shelving unit. If the entry is big enough, this area will work also. There are lots of ideas on the web for do it yourself creative people. Some suggestions are to work with an existing table and use some draping cloth to cover the metal. The only limits are your imagination and your budget. Your dog will know he is loved as he climbs into his plush crate.
