By Amy Graham

It is the desire of many people to have a puppy. This is because; with a puppy, one can never get bored. The fact is that trained puppies are able to give great companionship, just like human beings. No wader many kids and adults cannot be able to do without a dog. However before you decide to buy a puppy, you may need to evaluate a number of factors that can help you discern if you are really able to live with miniature schnauzer puppies.

Consider the kind of a landlord you are dealing with. While some landlords do not care what you do with their apartments, so long as you pay your rent on time, others are keen. They do not like people keeping pets in their premises. It is important to find out the stand of your landlord, before you buy the pet.

How much are you willing to spend on your pet every month? This is a question you need not ignore. Remember your pet requires a lot of care and attention. If you are not keen to ensure that you offer this attention, the pet may not grow in the right way. Again, you do not have to be torn between caring for your pet and paying your rent. Be sure you make the right decision before buying the pet.

If you have ever lived with a puppy, you can attest that puppies are very active. They have a lot of energy to play and ruin up and down. Consider if you are able to keep up with such energy before committing yourself. If you realize that you are not able to, you can go for an adult dog.

Consider the nature of your work. Some jobs involve a lot of traveling which may not be good for a puppy owner. In case you travel a lot, you need to make arrangements. Ensure that someone take care of your puppy when you are gone.

One thing is for sure; if you buy a pet, expect your house to get really dirty. Your pet will step on your mat, or even pee making it dirty and smelly. Again, you may have to get rid of every valuable item on the ground. This is because; the pet is likely to chew items such as furniture, they find on the floor.

Some people are allergic to dogs. If you are one of such person, consider looking for the type of breeds that do not cause allergic conditions. However, do not take chances, before you buy a dog; consider trying to live with it first. This will help you know how your body reacts due to the presence of the dog.

If you live alone, it is easy for you to keep a pet without minding about anyone. However, if you have roommates, consider finding out if they are okay with you keeping a dog. Some people vomit at the sight of a dog. If you have such roomies consider avoid keeping the pet in the same house.
