Small Dog Breeds Are Your Best Bet

Purchasing a pooch can be a huge responsibility especially if you pick one that will grow fairly big. In contrast by choosing one of the small dog breeds your expenses and many of your commitments will be much smaller in size. But, there are a couple of things to think about first.

Many people are much better off with a low energy pooch. This could be because you simply don't have enough time to go for long walks or are not someone who enjoys serious exercise. If this is the case there are many small dog breeds that could be ideal for you. You might want to consider a Pug, Dachshund, or Chihuahua as these all can do just fine with minimal daily exercise.

If you are someone with tons of energy there are a lot of pet options that might be your style. Those who spend their free time running, jogging, or walking will do well with a Wire-haired Fox Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, or Miniature Bull terrier. Each of these small sized dog breeds are shockingly energetic despite being pint-sized.

Color is often many times important to those who are purchasing a pooch. You might not be bothered at all what color your pet is, it's all just a matter of personal preference. A huge percentage actually only want one of the small white dog breeds however such as a Toy Poodle, Maltese, or Bichon Frise.

Picking a name is often the best part of the entire dog buying process. It is usually a little more so if you have a boy pooch. That's because there are just so many cool male dog names. To help you come up with some just think of characters in your favorite movie or book. There are also many websites that have huge lists of names that can help whether you have a male or female pet.

When considering a tiny dog be sure to keep the above info in mind. It will help you to get your ideas flowing on what breed is ultimately right for you and your situation.
