By Sharon Lewis

Small dogs are a current trend all over the world. The tiny canines are easy to carry around and ideal for those individuals who live in apartments or homes with minimal living space. Some of the most popular breeds are the white teacup pomeranian puppies. Although these pups are adorable, it is important to understand that they require special care.

Pomeranian pups are a wonderful canine for anyone who wishes to have a pet that requires minimal space. They have an adorable furry appearance and usually only grow to around seven pounds. In addition, they have a playful temperament and are a joy to be around.

Anyone who is planning on purchasing a teacup dog need to understand that the tiny pups require a lot of care. There are several things to consider when raising the animal such as day to day care, dietary considerations and potty training. Being aware of these important facts will ensure that the new family addition easily assimilates.

One thing that every new puppy owner needs to know is what they should feed their pet. The dog needs to maintain a well balanced diet so that they can grow strong and thrive. The puppy is likely to eat small amounts of wet food when they first come home. A week into the relationship the dog should be introduced to dry food.

Dogs can also be provided with dog treats throughout the course of each day. However, it is important to keep animals away from table scraps. Human food tends to be rich and may cause digestive issues for the puppy. Remember to never give a dog any type of raisins, grapes or chocolate as they are poisonous and will likely result in death.

Exercise is another important factor that a new owner should consider. A puppy should go outside several times each day. Take the dog out each morning, after each meal and before bed every evening. This routine provides the animal with a set schedule that they can easily adhere to and come to expect.

One of the most dreaded aspects of pet ownership is potty training. Although many people find it difficult, the fact is that most dogs are easily trained to go outside. The important thing is to be consistent and keep with a set schedule or routine. When everyone is away from the home simply lay down potty papers to eliminate any messes or accidents.

Bathing is something that all dog owners have to do. Pomeranians are extremely furry and require regular baths in order for them to stay fluffy and clean. Use a dog friendly shampoo and conditioner combo to ensure that their mane stays well groomed. Afterwards, use a hair brush and blow dryer to fluff out the animals hair and deter tangles.

There is no need to be stressed out about bringing a new puppy into the home. The important thing is to do a little research and find out about any special care or needs the animal may have. In no time at all the canine will feel like a part of the family.
