Why You Should Go For Cavachon Puppies

By Matthew Howard

The cavachon dog is a mixture of two breeds, both the Bichon Frise and the Cavalier Spaniel. They are specifically bred for human companion and because of their size they are not suitable for guard dogs. They will however give you a warning by barking when there is a visitor at your door. Besides the stern barks of warning, these dogs will present themselves to any person with a huge smile and energy. Below discussed are the reasons why cavachon puppies are the best companions for humans.

Most of these dogs have a coat that is solid white or a combination of light brown, peach and white fur. Besides the other small breeds of dogs, this type has a rather muscular frame and strong skeleton for their small size. Because of their tiny size, they are known for hip dysplasia and joint issues.

This is the kind of breed that likes pleasing others. Therefore, it must not be left all alone for long time frames. Because of their small sized nature, it is easy to carry these pets with your whenever you are leaving your home for several days.

Just like other kinds of dogs and pets, this one will need to be bathed, combed and trimmed to avoid knots on its fur and skin irritation. Combing should be done daily so that the knots do not form on your pet. Nail clipping should be done regularly and ears kept dry to avoid any ear problems. Dissimilar to the other breeds of dogs, this one loves the grooming process. The pets feel very comfortable and amazing once they are cleaned or bathed by their owners.

Training is an important aspect for most breeds of dogs. The cavachon learns fast since it is always ready to entertain its owner. Therefore, training is a fun activity. Nevertheless, remember to always be consistent, kind, gentle and firm during training sessions. Ensure that the dog realizes that you are its boss, and you should never punish, yell or hit it. Positive reinforcement is a miracle worker and offering treats every time the dog adheres to commands is helpful.

This is a bouncy, active and very lively breed. Nonetheless, the exercises should be minimal. Because of their love for chasing things, the game of fetch and taking short walks will just be enough. This is the kind of dog that will thrive well in small homes.

In the event you have a yard, you must bear in mind the fact that you should not let the dog play alone unsupervised. You must also remember to keep it indoors during the very chilly weathers. A good thing about this variety is that it does not require a person to play with it since it is good at keeping itself busy.

Since this dog is a moderate eater, you should not serve huge meals at a single time. You should rather spread out the meals into two or three phases of small servings of food every time. These puppies love treats and will sit beside you while eating and tempt you to feed it with its irresistibly charming eyes. You should not fall for this trap since these breeds are susceptible to obesity when overfed.
