Leona Helmsley Left Her white Maltese, Trouble, a $12 Million Trust Fund

Leona Helmsley left her white Maltese, Trouble, a $12 million trust fund, according to her will.
“I direct that when my dog, Trouble, dies, her remains shall be buried next to my remains in the Helmsley mausoleum,” Helmsley wrote in her will.
She also left millions for her brother who was named to be Trouble’s caretaker in her absence. Two of her four grandchildren will also receive money as long as they visit their father’s grave site once a year. If they don’t follow her request, the grandchildren will not get a cent from the $5 miillion she left for each of them.
Helmsley did not leave anything for her two other grandchildren because of “reasons that are known to them.”
She also ordered that her mausoleum must be “washed or steam-cleaned at least once a year.” She has $3 million set aside for the maintenance of her final resting place.
Her chauffeur was left $100,000.
Helmsley ordered that her properties and possessions be sold, and the money shall be given to the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
