Fish Oil For Dogs

By Dr. Bill

This morning I received a call from one of my partners who wanted to tell me about a story he had heard from one of the female participants in our test of my ultra pure formula, pharmaceutical grade fish oil. The test group members got to take the formula for a few months before we released it, so essentially they were our guinea pigs.

The test participant that my partner was calling me about is a widow of about 50 years old who works as a nurse at a dialysis clinic. She also has two dogs of about 9 or 10 years of age.

She started to take my pharmaceutical grade fish oil, because the stuff she was taking gave her "fish burps," which she didn't like, and she was attracted to the higher levels of EPA/DHA in my formula, which she wasn't getting in the stuff she picked up at the drugstore.

Because this woman is a nurse and on her feet for extended periods of time during her shifts, she was experiencing some pain. At fifty, she attributed this pain to arthritis, and began taking fish oil because she had heard it was good for reducing joint pain.

This woman had been on my fish oil formula for only one month, when she started to report that she was feeling a great deal of relief from her discomfort and pain. In fact, she said it felt like she had a brand new pair of legs!

Here's where the story goes to the dogs.

Her dogs, named Shaggy and Shea, were getting up in age and therefore were not as active as they were in their younger days, and Shea seemed to have a bit of limp. After being on the fish oil formula for a month and feeling great, she decided to give the dogs one soft gel each day at the same time time as they got their doggy treats. In only two weeks, the dogs' energy levels were markedly increased and Shea was walking without a hitch.

I realize that this story can't be seen as a scientific study and I have never claimed to be a veterinarian, but the dogs are feeling great, and I'm not going to recommend that she stop giving fish oil for dogs.

But back to the dogs' owner. She isn't the only one reporting that pharmaceutical grade fish oil is effective in the fight against common arthritic discomfort. Pharmaceutical grade fish oil is a potent weapon in the fight against many joint ailments of various stripes and colors.

Columbia University Medical Center recently released a study that shows that omega 3 fatty acids may assist in decreasing the risk of Alzheimer's by 19 to 24%. Taking pharmaceutical grade fish oil can also be very beneficial to your heart, joints, and overall brain function.

In my generation, Alzheimer's is the health problem that people fear the most. And the generation behind me is no different.
