How To Train Your Small Dog

Small dogs are everywhere. In fact the breed of small dogs is so wide and numerous that it can easily compete with the quantity of typical dogs. Small dogs vary in sizes from one geographical region to another and from one environment to another. For example, a typical toy poodle found in United States of America might differ in size with a toy poodle found in South Africa. Furthermore, diet, environment, climate, living behavior and a number of other aspects suggest the size of small dogs. Small dogs are also commonly known as toy dogs. Owning a small dog has a number of advantages as well as disadvantages. Sometimes, small dogs are much better than typical large sized dogs. But sometime, they can be a true troublesome for your home.

The greatest benefit of small size dogs is that they are quiet friendly to the smaller size apartments and rooms. Hence they get easily used to with the environment of your preference. It is also observed that toy dogs or small dogs are much happier, cuter and active in comparison with other large dogs such as bull dog and German shepherd. It is probably because of their naughty and cute nature. But, being small does not mean they are small in their thinking and intelligence. In fact, there are some small dogs which are quiet intelligent and even intelligent than typical large dogs.

Many people consider small dogs as less intelligent and more problematic. Well! This is not always the case. In fact, there are many types of small dogs which are much more intelligent than large size dogs. They perform their activities with greater intelligence and responsibilities. Training a small dog does not require too much hard work. But there exist some type of small dogs, who, due to their extremely unstable nature, don't tend to learn new things. As a result, they proved to be very hard in learning and training.

Before buying a small dog for your house as a pet, you should make sure that the dog is quiet learned and stable. Never get an extremely chilled or funny small dog as he/she will not take much time to completely mess up your bedrooms and toilets. Train your dog as firmly and patiently as you can. You need to recognize your dog's signs and signals. Sometimes, your dog becomes very angry or wants to show his/her happiness. You should be able to respond to his/her activities so that the dog can become friendlier with you.

Many people don't treat large and small dogs equally. They think that small dogs are not that capable and hence can bear much more than a typical bull dog or German shepherd. This is a totally wrong perception. Small dogs also respond to your activities, show their angriness and happiness. You should also be able to respond to his/her activities so that the small dog can get more familiar and friendly with you.
