Many people feel that shock collars are cruel and inhumane but they do not realize that shock collars are not harming the dog they are actually helping the dog. If your dog does not listen to you he just might end up getting himself hurt or even worst he could end up dead. There have been thousands of dogs run into the road while their masters were calling them to come back but they didn't listen and were hit by a vehicle. This will not happen if a dog is trained with a shock collar.

Dogs that are trained with shock collars do not have to wear the collar all the time. They only have to wear it until they learn how to listen to their master. It is for the dogs on safety. These collars do not harm your dog. Experts have said that the shock from one of these collars is like an electric static shock to us. It isn't painful but it is a bit aggravating.

All the shock collar does is gets the dogs attention. They learn much quicker with these collars because it is annoying to get shocked when they do wrong. You should also give them a treat when they do something right. This will help to teach them much quicker.

If you use the shock collar and the treat reward system the collar should be able to come off fairly quickly. If you are a new pet owner and you do not know much about these collars you should be sure to read the instruction manual before you use it on your dog.

You do not want to cause your dog harm so you have to be careful because these collars have several different settings. It is best to put the setting on the lowest one possible to start with. After you get your dog trained the collar can come off permanently and they will listen to your commands even without the collar on.

You can buy different types of shock collars depending on what type of training you are planning to do. You should probably speak with someone at the pet store about the collar first. They will be able to tell you which collar would be best for the type of training you are going to be doing. You also need to measure the neck of your dog so that you know what size collar you will need.

You can buy shock collars for many different things. If you have a dog that barks a lot you can buy a shock collar so that they stop barking so much. Every time your dog barks it will give them a shock and pretty soon they will learn not to bark. It wont take them long to learn to stop barking and then you can remove the collar.

The bark shock collar does not come with a button or device that you have to push in order for it to shock the dog but the training collars do have a device. When you use a bark shock collar you don't have to press any button because the collar knows when to shock the dog. However when using a training collar the collar does not know when to send out a shock until you press the button on the device.
