Clean House Despite Pets----5 Steps To Keep Your House Clean Even With Pets

As a pet owner it's easy to feel that you are
constantly making a choice between your pet, and
a home that smells and looks fresh and clean.
Here are 5 suggestions that will allow you to
enjoy your pet and a clean house too.

Bathe Your Pet---Always check with your
veterinarian first, but this simple chore can
remove tons of loose hair and plenty of the
microscopic dander as well. The less there is on
your pet, the less there is to send airborne into
the air and settle on furniture and floors.

Even though the thought of this may seem
labor-intensive at first, it can drastically
reduce the pet-related particles in your air.

Vacuum With A HEPA---This is best done with a
cleaner that is sure to take and keep out what
it has taken in. Using a cleaner with a HEPA or
high efficiency particle arresting filter is the
most effective way to make this happen.

These cleaners may be initially more expensive
than those without this kind of filter, but they
are more likely to get rid of the particles
rather than simply moving them from one place to
another.

Minimize Odor---Every warm-blooded animal has a
scent. And the smell will vary greatly according
to the type of pooch you have. For those of us
who love them, this is a non-issue and often
goes unnoticed. But for those who are visiting
and/or who are not pet lovers the smell can be
very off-putting.

Be sure to clean the litter box frequently not
only for humans but for the animals as well.
Clear away inappropriate urine and feces quickly
and completely. Neutralizing the spot so that it
does not continue to smell is crucial. Reward
and praise your animal mightily when it
exercises acceptable elimination habits.

Clear The Air---Regardless of how clean you keep
your home, having a pet means that you are going
to have more particles and odors than a home
without one. So continuously filtering particles
and odors including urine odor is important.

Having a cleaner that can eliminate the
pollutants and send fresh air into your home
constantly means that you, your family, and
friends are more likely to walk into a home that
smells fresh and clean all the time.

Designate A Pet Area---This one more than any of
the others has to be your call. Designating one
or two room as the only rooms that your pet can
be in will make cleaning easier and help your
home stay neater.

Different strokes for different folks. If you
really want to interact with your animal friend
this probably is not going to work for you. But
making some areas off-limits for your pet will
keep dander, hair and odor to a minimum
throughout the rest of the house.
