4 Practical Tips: Cats

By Harold Snider

Cats are very independent and do what they please but that does not diminish the fact that they still need to be trained. Without training, cats will just do what they do naturally and they will not think it is wrong in the slightest bit to misbehave and scratch up your furniture. Same goes with dogs; if they are not trained they can easily cause chaos within the house.

It is well known that cats do not need instructions, they rather follow their trusted instinct. So instead of trying to teach them how to use a litter box, you have to make the litter box look appealing so they will use it on their own. The same thing also applies when they scratch furniture amongst other things around the home, they are doing this as an exercise to help keep their claws both sharp and strong, they are not trying to make you upset or anything.

Although, the chances are good that your cat will use a dedicated scratching post that looks strong. Cats do like the smell of air fresheners that are lemon scented and will try to keep out of places that you sprayed. So basically your cat's instincts is already telling your cat to do or not to do something and the more you understand this the easier it will be to own a cat. A dog cannot take care of self like a cat can and is totally reliant on their owner for everything from attention to training, so as you can imagine taking a care of a dog is harder than taking care of a cat. There are people that believe it can be hard to form a strong bond with a cat but if you simply spend time with them they will grow to trust you and a lasting bond will be formed.

It just as easy as knowing what to do. This guide will end all the bad habits that your cat has, such as scratching up your furniture or peeing on your favorite chair, just follow those simple tips that was touched on in the last paragraphs like making the litter box look attractive for your cat, after all cats are very clean animals and would love to have a clean litter box as well. Also buy your friend a scratching post so it has something to keep its claws nice and strong on, rather than scratching stuff around the house and yard.

There is are large selection of tips and advice to help things go easier. To have a successful relationship with your feline companion then the first step is understanding. If you treat your cat right and give it everything it needs you will find that the cat will also be loving and caring to you as well.
