a member of the herding dog group. They feature a

they're a popular selection as a companion dog
for active owners or families. Characteristics

Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and herding breeds like
the Komondor and are thought to have originated

They are recognized as a medium sized breed of
dog. The appropriate male size is 21-22 inches

female dimensions are 20-21 inches high with a
weight of 40-45 pounds. Their personality is

of room, but won't be suitable for apartment

They're for the most part longer-lived, like
many medium sized breeds, and have a life
expectancy of 12-14 years. Their main health
concern is cancer, and they are also vulnerable
to eye problems, food allergies and
hypothyroidism. They love hobbies like agility,
swimming, learning tricks or playing fetch. They
have a very high degree of energy, and that calls
for long walks every day to prevent hyperactivity
or other bad habits.

You need to be ready to meet their high needs
for attention, exercise and grooming if you
choose the Bearded Collie. They are not the best
option for anyone without much time for a dog,
but very suitable for active owners and families
that can meet their needs. Many dog owners find
this dog very attractive, and one of the biggest
reasons is it has a lively and devoted nature
that can make it one of the best family pets.
