In some people, it is observed that there is less electrical activation within sections of the brain in the left hemisphere that engage in reading. These parts include inferior parietal lobule, middle ventral cortex, inferior frontal gyrus, and ventral temporal cortex. These areas are often targeted during a dyslexia evaluation.
