When you visit your breeder to choose the new furry family member take the time to interact with the animal. Choose a pup who is playful, yet can also be held and petted. Opt for a pooch that has a personality suitable for your household. Households with children may opt for a more rambunctious canine, while one with older adults may prefer a quiet, docile pet. Talk to the breeder and he or she can help you choose the best of the litter for your home. After all, they have raised the pup since birth and have a great understanding of its personality.
